The genesis of my banking life ...
There are many things I learnt in my vanderlust across all the continents as a roaming bankeing/presales consultant. (Oh sorry, I have never been to Australia and Antartica - did fly over Greenland once though).
I have expertise,with selective amnesia, across Finance,Risk,CRM,Manufacturing and few more areas in Analytics and Business Intelligence. Well,long back I was a banker in a bank called ICICI Bank - not the one that you know of today .Those were the early days of private banking in India and where employees were roasted on fire in cauldrons of "no proceesses and systems".A bank run by eggheads who landed from all kinds of nationalized banks and who reveled in taking things out of the systems and putting them into ledgers and registers. ( This was time when there was an ICICI and an ICICI Bank and one fine day Rambo Kamath reverse merged the former into the latter). Albiet it an era of great learning .Baptism by fire that taught you all that you dont do at banking. While I ramble I felt like telling you a little trivia - Ever wondered why the signature tune of this bank(Tut - Tu ru ru -Tu ru -ru ru -ru) sounds so familiar to the tune of Lage Raho MunnaBhai - The first video was directed by Viddu darling and hence i hypothesize that it was composed by Shantanu Moitra - A smart guy but one who takes jazz greats like Louis Armstrong and makes a "Kaisi ye paheli hai ye:-)
